Parshiyos Vayekel-Pekeudei, Parah, second time romances, kosher Le Pessach

Rabbi Mordechai Rhine Shlita sent out an e-mail with Kosher Le Pessach links. For your convenience, I provide links to the Star-K and OU guides below.

Editorial

This week, I bring some stories of second time around romances that have worked out. Good people make mistakes on first marriages. Either through being not mature enough or in defiance of their parents. Some correct their mistakes, grow and have a wonderful second marriage. Spring is in the air so enjoy the stories.

I don’t have a crystal ball or been given prophecy on the subject, but when week after week I read about Iran pushing to test Israel with a war, I pay attention and think twice. This week there was another report of the emasculation of men. It seems that there are a number of factors involved. Girls and Women have been encouraged to move up in society while Boys and Men could only be encouraged by a father figure and society is becoming more and more one parent households. The trend to reward everybody for being on a team and participating instead of a champion has lowered the value of completion. There was a study of 40 year olds in 1987 CE vs. today of the testosterone in men. It seems that my generation had 30% more. Was it do to more sports? Less genetic modified foods? Too much encouragement of homosexuality by a sick society? I do not know all the reasons but we have to hope that this trend stops.

Parshiyos Vayakhel – Pekudei

35:1 And Moses assembled all the congregation of the children of Israel, and said unto them: 'These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them. 2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you a holy day, a Sabbath of solemn rest to the LORD; whosoever does any work therein shall be put to death.

Even for building the Mishkan or Temple, Melacha was/is forbidden. All the more so for a selfish purpose like driving a car, doing a term paper, plowing a field, gathering fruit, etc.

The death penalty is not for accidently doing a Melacha, or forgetting that you have something in your pocket and you carry it from one domain to another. It is not for somebody who became drowsy and thought that it was Thursday night and turned off or on a light. Neither is it for a person who did not know that washing clothes was a forbidden Melacha but only knew about the agricultural ones and the traveling ones. There are numerous forms of death penalties. One who is warned by two witnesses that hunting is forbidden and he ignores them and hunts he is put on trial. However, there are cases where the Sanhedrin has no jurisdiction and that is if somebody is warned only by one witness. He gets Kares and perhaps death by the hands of heaven. Example if he violates Shabbos, he dies by a form of the penalty of the Beit Din. Example a car accident a safety accident etc.

3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the Sabbath day.'

Out of all the Melachos, this is the only example mentioned in the Torah. So don’t think that flipping on an automatic gas range, light switch, ignition key, etc. is nothing to make a fuss out of or carrying in one’s pocket a handkerchief.

4 And Moses spoke unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: 'This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying: 5 Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD, whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, the LORD'S offering: gold, and silver, and brass;

Generous-hearted person: Heb. נְדִיב לִבּוֹ. Since his heart moved him to generosity, he is called “generous-hearted” (נְדִיב לֵב). I already explained the offering for the Mishkan and its work in the place of their command [Exod. 25 through 34].

6 and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair; 7 and rams' skins dyed red, and giraffe skins, and acacia-wood; 8 and oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense; 9 and onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate.

At the Sheva Berachos for my grandson, I came across one of his new uncles. The uncle was a young man and I suggested that according to the Da’as Chullin that it was a Giraffe Skin. For two things we know. 1) the animal was kosher. 2) the animal had a coat of many colors. This matches the description of a giraffe. He suggested a dinosaur. Even if they were not extinct at the time, the animals could not be kosher.

10 And let every wise-hearted man among you come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded:

Foundry workers. Engravers, the equivalent to modern machinists were always in demand. (For my modern readers and feminists be patient women are mentioned specifically further on. Due to Tznius (modesty) and in general man also means men and women) Betzalel also was in charge of the Carpenters and other talents. Oholiab was in charge of the tailors, weavers, dyers etc.

11 the tabernacle, its tent, and its covering, its clasps, and its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets; 12 the ark, and the staves thereof, the ark-cover, and the veil of the screen; 13 the table, and its staves, and all its vessels, and the showbread; 14 the candlestick also for the light, and its vessels, and its lamps, and the oil for the light; 15 and the altar of incense, and its staves, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle; 16 the altar of burnt-offering, with its grating of brass, its staves, and all its vessels, the laver and its base; 17 the hangings of the court, the pillars thereof, and their sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court; 18 the pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court, and their cords; 19 the plaited garments, for ministering in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office.' 20 And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

The full Drasha of Moshe is not given for a greater description of the items was stated and it was noted that one does not violate Shabbos to build the Mishkan or Mikdash for HASHEM.

21 And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and brought the LORD'S offering, for the work of the tent of meeting, and for all the service thereof, and for the holy garments. 22 And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing-hearted, and brought nose-rings, and ear-rings, and signet-rings, and girdles, all jewels of gold; even every man that brought an offering of gold unto the LORD.

As I wrote in my foot note above women played an important part in the Mishkan. Women gave up their gold and silver jewelry, brass mirrors that they used in Egypt for making themselves beautiful during the days that men wanted to separate from their wives due to the throwing of babies in the river.

23 And every man, with whom was found blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, and rams' skins dyed red, and sealskins, brought them. 24 Every one that did set apart an offering of silver and brass brought the LORD'S offering; and every man, with whom was found acacia-wood for any work of the service, brought it. 25 And all the women that were wise-hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, the blue, and the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen. 26 And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun the goats' hair.

It is a fact, that men have less patience than women. Men don’t have the hormones to sit and take care of babies like a mother nor do they have the patience to spin the ends of the goats’ hair one to another to make a thread. It takes a good eye, patience and good steady hands to do this. [This patience and talent is used in IDF intelligence. The men are more used in comparing photographs of the enemy territory and checking for differences and risking themselves on the border. The women are close to the border but on computer screens watching the TV cameras by the borders for infiltration. On my last border patrol in the fall of 1994, this was in effect and the woman soldier called me on the radio to check the side of the perimeter of the base. The movement turned out to be wild dogs and not soldiers out there.]

27 And the rulers brought the onyx stones, and the stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate;

And the princes brought: Heb. וְהַנְשִׂיאִם. Rabbi Nathan said: What prompted the princes [lit., what did the princes see] to donate for the dedication of the altar first [before the rest of the Israelites] while [in contrast] they did not donate first for the work of the Mishkan? This is what the princes said, “Let the community donate what they will donate, and what[ever] they are missing [i.e., whatever is left to be donated] we will complete.” Since the community completed everything, as it is said: “And the work was sufficient” (Exod. 36:7), the princes said, “What are we to do?” So they brought the shoham stones, etc. Therefore, they brought [donations] first for the dedication of the altar. Since at first they were lazy [i.e., they did not immediately donate], a letter is missing from their name, and וְהַנְשִׂיאִם is written [instead of וְהַנְשִׂיאִים, with additional “yud” s]. [from Num. Rabbah 12:16, Sifrei Num. 7:2, Midrash Chaseroth V’Yetheroth p. 268, Midrash Tanchuma Pekudei 11]

This is the lesson that we will also see in Parsha Naso. One should donate something at the beginning of a charity drive and not sit back to tie up loose ends like the princes wanted to do.

28 and the spice, and the oil, for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense. 29 The children of Israel brought a freewill-offering unto the LORD; every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all the work, which the LORD had commanded by the hand of Moses to be made.

This was a national project. Population wise was larger the US in World War II for everybody participated. From the factory workers and soldiers to the Manhattan Project for the percentage of the population that engaged in these endeavors was much lower than those that participated in the Mishkan. Moshe, being the head of the project, will receive credit at the end. However credit will also be do to the heads of the artisan engineers.

30 And Moses said unto the children of Israel: 'See, the LORD hath called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 31 And He hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship. 32 And to devise skilful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, 33 and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all manner of skilful workmanship. 34 And He hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35 Them hath He filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of workmanship, of the craftsman, and of the skilful workman, and of the weaver in colours, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any workmanship, and of those that devise skilful works.

These two craftsmen were chosen, not only for their skills but their talents in correcting things

36:1 And Bezalel and Oholiab shall work, and every wise-hearted man, in whom the LORD hath put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all the work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD hath commanded.' 2 And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab, and every wise-hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it. 3 And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, wherewith to make it. And they brought yet unto him freewill-offerings every morning.

Very Important: As talented and dedicated as they were, they brought offerings each day to HASHEM for HIS help. This is the mistake of most modern leaders. My friend Zev Horn Shlita noted just before the Yom Kippur War that Defense Minister Moshe Dayan was bragging about the Israeli Army and strength. He left out HASHEM and was busy eating pork products, violating Shabbos and womanizing. As a result, he was lulled into complacency. Betzalel and Oholiab noted where their talent came from and their guidance and made sure to acknowledge it, were humble and prayed for guidance.

4 And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they wrought. 5 And they spoke unto Moses, saying: 'The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make.' 6 And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying: 'Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.' So the people were restrained from bringing. 7 For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.

The princes had underestimated the donations from the hearts of Am Yisrael and now were unable to donate anything else. Thus, we see the special arrangements done in Parsha Naso for the princes.

… 40:1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying: 2 'On the first day of the first month shalt thou rear up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.

This would be one year from the date that Moshe said in Chapter 12 that “This month is the Rosh or head – leader of all months” (See the first Rashi in Beresheis) This is exactly a year from the moment we became a nation albeit enslaved still in Mitzrayim.

3 And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and thou shalt screen the ark with the veil. … 12 And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tent of meeting, and shalt wash them with water. 13 And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments; and thou shalt anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister unto Me in the priest's office.

On Rosh Chodesh Nissan 2449, you will establish the Mishkan and anoint the Priests aka Cohanim.

14 And thou shalt bring his sons, and put tunics upon them. 15 And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto Me in the priest's office; and their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.' 16 Thus did Moses; according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.

Moshe faithfully executed his duties as HASHEM commanded him.

17 And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.

This is the month of Nissan 2449. Below is the description of Moshe completing the Mishkan. HASHEM attributes it to him as he administrated the project. Betzalel, Oholiab and the hundreds of workers and Leviim participated.

18 And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up its pillars. 19 And he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Moses.

He spread the tent: They are the curtains of goat hair (Exod. 26:7, 36:14).

20 And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the ark-cover above upon the ark.

The testimony: [I.e.,] the tablets [of the testimony].

21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses. 22 And he put the table in the tent of meeting, upon the side of the tabernacle northward, without the veil.

On the northern side of the Mishkan: In the northern half of the width of the Temple [i.e., the Mishkan]. -[from Yoma 33b] Aide: Heb. יֶרֶ, lit., thigh, as the Targum [Onkelos renders it]: צִדָּא, the side, like the thigh that is on a person’s side.

23 And he set a row of bread in order upon it before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses. 24 And he put the candlestick in the tent of meeting, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward. 25 And he lighted the lamps before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses. 26 And he put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil; 27 and he burnt thereon incense of sweet spices; as the LORD commanded Moses.

He made the incense go up in smoke upon it: in the morning and in the evening, as it is said: “every morning when he sets the lamps in order [he shall make it go up in smoke]” (Exod. 30:7).

28 And he put the screen of the door to the tabernacle. 29 And the altar of burnt-offering he set at the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt-offering and the meal-offering; as the LORD commanded Moses.

And he offered up the burnt offering and the meal offering upon it: Even on the eighth day of the investitures-which was the day of the setting up of the Mishkan-Moses officiated and offered up the communal sacrifices, with the exception of those that Aaron was commanded [to offer up] on that day, as it is said: “Approach the altar” (Lev. 9:7). The burnt offering: The daily burnt offering. And the meal offering: [This refers to] the meal offering of the libations of the daily burnt offering, as it is said: “And one-tenth of fine flour, thoroughly mixed with… oil” (Exod. 29:40).

30 And he set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water therein, wherewith to wash; 31 that Moses and Aaron and his sons might wash their hands and their feet thereat;

And Moses, Aaron, and his sons would wash: On the eighth day, they were all equal in respect to the kehunah. Its [Aramaic] translation is וִיקַדְּשׁוּן מִנֵּיהּ, and shall wash from it, for on that day Moses washed with them.

32 when they went into the tent of meeting, and when they came near unto the altar, they should wash; as the LORD commanded Moses.

And when they approached: Heb. וּבְקָרְבָתָם, like וּבְקָרְבָם, when they will approach (sic).

33 And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.
34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of meeting, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting: But one [other] passage says: “And when Moses would enter the Tent of Meeting” (Num. 7:89), [which is an apparent contradiction]. The third passage [verse 35] came and reconciled them: “because the cloud rested upon it.” You may henceforth say that as long as the cloud was upon it, he could not enter, [but when] the cloud withdrew, he would enter and [God] would speak with him. -[from Torath Kohanim, Shalosh Esrei Middoth, Thirteen methods, Section 8]

36 And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys. 37 But if the cloud was not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up. 38 For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and there was fire therein by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

So even Moshe could not enter and the question time wise that is. Is this before the two sons of Aaron perished or after. If before they should have been more cautious.

Before the eyes of the entire house of Israel in all their journeys: On every journey (מַסָּע) that they were traveling, the cloud would rest in that place where they encamped. The place of their encampment is also called a journey (מַסָּע). Likewise, “And he went to his stations (לְמַסָּעָיו) ” (Gen. 13:3) [i.e., to the stops along his journey], and likewise, “These are the journeys (מַסְעֵי) ” (Num. 33:1). Since from the place of their encampment they resumed their journeys, they are all called “journeys” (מַסָעוֹת).

The animal used to cover the Mishkan is discussed here. Note the multicolor and it was a Kosher Animal. I go according to Da’as Chullin that describes the KERESH in the book of Iyob and TASHASH as the same animal. https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/3960572/jewish/Are-Unicorns-Real.htm#utm_medium=email&utm_source=1_chabad.org_magazine_en&utm_campaign=en&utm_content=content This is a good photo of a Unicorn’s head it has a good shot of the horn. https://www.google.co.il/search?q=photos+of+giraffe+heads&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=8p-7GLg_JQDVuM%253A%252CNcG2yxh_toos_M%252C_&usg=__YXz6hUXDC0fIVCcbKxSGNe3xJJE%3D&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjfiae_jd3ZAhXC8qQKHfRlA48Q9QEIKzAB#imgrc=8p-7GLg_JQDVuM:

Chazak – Chazak v’ nit Chazak

Parsha Para Bamidbar 19:1 -22

This Parsha is concerned with the purification of somebody who came in contact with the dead. This is the purification of a live person who has dealt with cadavers. Connection before Pessach we try to be ritually pure for the Korban Pessach. As of now, theoretically we could offer up a Korban Pessach if the majority of Am Yisrael were Tumay and the majority in Eretz Yisrael.

This week I bring down two romantic stories as Spring is Just around the corner. But there is a few words that should be said on Modesty too.
Bat Zion Susskind wrote about the Oscars a few words: I did not even know there was an Oscar ceremony last night. Other than the usual young aspiring actresses who climbed to the top through the bedrooms of some, dresses that reveal more than they cover, some well-built body guards, criticism of Trump and alligator tears shed for the lost dreams of the illegals did I miss anything?
I added: If I see a woman dressed Orthodox, I treat her with respect. If I look at the actresses the way they were dressed I think of rich sluts. Correct me if I am mistaken. PS I did not watch the Oscars but saw the news.

If one looks for a Shidduch it does not take that long to figure out if you will be married or not. But do not think of external features for if one is looking to be married in 40, 50, 60 years from the initial meeting, one must be able to leave with the personality. At 21 I was 160 lbs. and physically very active with a much hotter temper and less patience. I improved my own personality with more and more Torah and Mussar but the 160 lbs. passed the 200 lb. mark long ago and the activities of a man a few months shy of 71 is not quite with the same energy and zeal of the good ole days.

This story was told by R’ Rafael Solomon Shlita at his Purim Seuda. He was divorced working in the States teaching young fellows. Among them was the son of Rabbi Edward Davis Shlita, Akiva. He had come home to his parent’s house in the United Kingdom for a visit. His mother was a Shadchan and picked out of her book the name of an unmarried woman for Rafael to call up.

The woman also divorced was actually seeing somebody for three months but they decided that they were not really going to get married about an hour before her name and phone number were chosen by Rafi’s mother.

Rafael called her and asked for a date as soon as possible because he was in town for just a short time. She agreed to meet him on short notice.

What she saw was a man with a giant number 11 Yarmulke and a beard. (For my readers who know me either in person or my Facebook - Google photo, I wear a number 8 which is also larger than usual.) They went out for a bite at a restaurant to sit and talk. It was a bit late at night but still she invited Rafael in and they talked for a while, in fact until 4:30 AM. When Rafael got home, his mother was still awake. He said, “I am going to marry that girl”.

It took another meeting or two and he had to go back to his job and she on a trip to Israel that was pre-planned and they got back together at the first opportunity and married. They have a daughter in addition to their previous children. She is learning in a High School-Seminar Dormitory for religious girls and helping special needs children.

The second story I don’t have permission from the wife to tell the names so I leave them anonymous.

The man was at the end of a four-year battle against the Rabbinute of Israel to get divorced. The lawyer and drawn up the financial arrangements contract which was notarized and irreversible to take effect upon divorce. The Rabbinute of Rehovot must have thought the man to be a Masochist wanting to try for Shalom Beis that was one-sided and a Sadist to his children subjecting them to the blood curling screams of the wife who “Didn’t want him or his brats”. He always said to Rabbi Mimran Shlita and I that he became religious because of HASHEM and despite the Religious Community. He stayed religious despite the Beis Din. However, he warned that the pit of Gehennom stands before a Jewish Judge so the Judgement must he proper.

He was promised a divorce “close at hand” (quite a few months closer to a year). He had gotten to the point of going to the States to get a civil divorce and then a religious divorce in the US Rabbinical Court. To set the record straight it was not only this man whom the Rabbinute played around with for 4 years but a non-religious lady named Erika. She told the man that she would never ever marry again and was living with her companion as a couple. Somehow, I get this funny feeling that the Beis Din was causing a “Postponement or Delay of the Din” which Perkei Avos warns that brings certain punishments upon Am Yisrael.

In fact, the only reason they “speeded-up” his divorce was that the wife told them she was moving to the States and did not want to be an Aguna (abandoned wife) because of the Beis Din.

A short time after the contract was drawn up that he was getting his “brats”, he began looking in the Maariv Newspaper at the dating advertisements. He began looking for women seven years younger until his age group. He learned quickly that some women who advertised that were bachelorettes were not mature enough to take on a family. Others who were married had children who were not interested in taking on a few more children. Another one or two had not really gotten over their divorces and the sister of the above mentioned lawyer had only been married a month or two before divorce and was just a little better than a bachelorette.

Finally, around Chanucha one lady had gotten 20 replies to her advertisement. She had dated for about two years after 12 years of marriage with 7 miss aborts and the husband, who had a much lower IQ had been cheating and was ending up with threats if he did not marry the woman. She looked over the replies with her sister-in-law. There was a fellow who wrote this and that but he had an apartment and three children X aged so and so, Y aged so and so minus and Z aged so and so minus even more. He appeared to be honest so she replied by mail.

Upon receiving the letter, he had a phone number to call. (In those days, due to bribery at the founding of State not many areas of the country had phones.) The fellow had to go out to the public telephone to call the lady. They made up to meet Motzei Shabbos Chanucha. There were no Waze Applications and the Geha Road (Israel route 4) was filled with traffic lights in those days. It took a while to get there and then to find a parking space. He made it there.

As he ran the door bell, the neighbor from the floor below can up to check-up upon the woman to make sure that he was not a dangerous character. The man was quite Orthodox and was disappointed to see a woman without head covering, short with narrow small size lens glasses which did not complement her face. She also had a minor defect from childhood. Unlike his bachelor friends who would take an external look at a woman and say not for me, he had driven an hour so he sat down to talk and see if there was something there or after a brief encounter leave. She turned out to be intelligent and suddenly her height, glasses and minor childhood happening did not bother him. He had arrived at 6:30 or 7 PM and left at 1:30 AM.

It turned out that what he prayed for a good wife and good mother for his children turned into being. She covered her hair first with hats that showed a little hair like many modern Orthodox then a wig for her daughter’s PTA at Beis Yacov. She changed her eye glasses to larger rounder lenses, did some minor plastic surgery and today looks much better. They are married 36 years now.

The moral of both stories is not to judge people from their external features like a number 11 Yarmulke and long beard but by their internal features. Because Proverbs 31: 30 Grace is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman that fears the LORD, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her works praise her in the gates.

Private Property John Locke & the Torah vs. Socialism

In Perkei Avos Chapter 4, one who says what yours is yours and what mine is yours is a Tzaddik who is willing to share his portion in this world with his friend. However, private property in Parsha Mishpatim, Baba Kama, Metziah and Basra.

In Mark Levin’s book Rediscovering Americanism, he quotes John Locke Second Treatise of Government: “[The government] cannot take away from any man any part of his own property without his consent. For the preservation of property being the end of government, and for that which men enter into society. It necessarily supposes that people would have property, without which they would lose what they entered into society, for which was their purpose to enter into society, too much an absurdity for any man to own.” It short, the idea of distributing the wealth for equality was absurd. Yes, all men are created equal. One can work hard even two jobs to save money for his family and retirement or have one job, eat, drink and be merry and gamble it on cruise ships not worrying about the future. The best example of two types of people are Mike Tyson and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Mike made millions and squandered most of it away on parts, cars and showing off. Arnold made less but saved, invested and went into a side business adventure of Planet Hollywood he is worth close to a billion dollars. Mike is still probably richer than you or I but somebody must be managing his money now.

My father, living with bipolar 2 disorder, for being a successful business man, able to put two children through university and live to welcome 5 grandchildren. My mother, for being able to stand by him all those years; never letting on that there was something wrong with my dad. Holding him up when he was so down. And never saying a word.
